Winter Classes Begin January 15
The best way you can get prepared for large and small emergencies is to take Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. CERT training teaches hands-on, self‐reliance skills that enable neighborhoods to establish response teams to take care of their neighborhood until professional help arrives. This training will also enable you to assist during emergencies at home or work.
You can sign up now for the FREE CERT training class that begins on Wed. January 15.
Classes are held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings from January 15 through February 26, with a final Skills Day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sat. March, when you’ll practice the skills you have learned.
A total of 20 hours of instruction are provided over 8 sessions.
Classes will take place at the Millbrae Public Library at 1 Library Place in Millbrae. The Skills Day will be held at Fire Station 37 at 511 Magnolia Ave. in Millbrae. There is no cost, and you will receive a CERT backpack with a CERT vest and emergency tools.
