Protect Your Home and Family from Wildfires

June 26, 2025 — You’re invited to a free program on Saturday, June 28, to learn what you can do to prepare for wildfires from Central County Fire Chief Dave Pucci and Rich Holtz, Burlingame’s Parks Superintendent and City Arborist. Presented by the Burlingame Neighborhood Network, this program will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the STEAM Room at the Burlingame Community Center at 850 Burlingame Ave. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

  • What steps can I take to guard my home and yard from wildfires?
  • What can I do about a dangerous tree on a neighbor’s lot?
  • Who’s responsible for cleaning my easement?
  • Is my property at risk for wildfire on Cal Fire’s new Fire Hazard Map?
  • What lessons were learned during the wildfires in Los Angeles?
  • Come and meet your neighbors and get your questions answered.

This program is presented by the Burlingame Neighborhood Network as part of its mission to encourage neighbors to connect with one another to build a sense of community, become informed about disaster preparedness and support one another during emergencies.
