Participants practiced organizing in teams to help one another after a simulated earthquake and learned how to request supplies and help using FRS radios and the Zello app on their cell phones, which turns them into walkie-talkies. HAM radio operators also helped relay messages to facilitate communication throughout the city. Local police officers and firefighters stopped by to report unscripted new developments and answer questions
