Posted on March 6, 2023 by BNN Network
Burlingame, CA, March 6, 2023 — Burlingame residents are invited on Saturday, March 25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. to hear city, police and fire leaders reflect on how the city coped during recent storms. Burlingame Neighborhood Network (BNN) representatives will share resources and training opportunities that will help residents be better prepared for emergencies.

Presented by BNN and cosponsored by the City of Burlingame, “Lessons Learned from the Storms: Preparing for Next Time” will be held at the Burlingame Community Center, 850 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame. Residents are invited to come at 8:45 a.m. to enjoy coffee and light refreshments before the program begins. There is no admission charge, but advance registration is required.

Mayor Michael Brownrigg will moderate a panel featuring Council Member Ricardo Ortiz, Police Chief Mike Matteucci, Deputy Fire Chief Ken Giacotto, and Parks Superintendent and City Arborist Richard Holtz. BNN Board Members David Harris and Rik Kasuga will describe ways residents can help one another during emergencies and build skills through training and participating in BNN’s annual drill.
