When a disaster strikes, how will you and your loved ones hear about it, what should you grab and how will you figure out a safe evacuation route? Come to our next program on Saturday, March 9, to learn from local safety experts how to receive emergency alerts, connect with family and friends, tap into a volunteer Ham radio network, decide what to include in your “go bag” and evacuate safely following disaster.
Called “Ready, Set, Go! What’s in Your Go Bag? When and Where to Go,” the program will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Lane Room at the Burlingame Public Library, 480 Primrose Road. Admission is free and complimentary coffee and refreshments will be served.
Representatives from BNN, the Central County Fire Department, the Burlingame Police Department, Burlingame’s Ham Radio Network and the California Highway Patrol will offer tips and answer questions.
